JLS support London College event

Boy Band Supports London College to Raise Money for Charity

Aston and JB from boy band JLS were on hand to support students

at London College of Beauty Therapy (LCBT) last week in their

Guinness World Records™ attempt. Students at LCBT worked for 8

hours to complete 2219 mini manicures in aid of Rays of Sunshine

and The Eve Appeal.

LCBT raised approximately £1000 at their Guinness World Records™

attempt on Thursday 10th May for Rays of Sunshine and The Eve

Appeal. Aston and JB from JLS are long term supporters of Rays

of Sunshine a wish granting charity for seriously ill children.

LCBT were the first to ever set the record for the most nails

filed and varnished in 8 hours back in 2010 with 1897 mini

manicures and are pleased to have raised so much money for

two very worthy causes while beating their original record.

Eileen Cavalier OBE, CEO of LCBT Said “This event was about

giving our learners the opportunity to be part of something

that they would never usually have been able to experience

as we have always tried to create careers not courses.

Taking part in a Guinness World Records attempt will look

great on their CV’s when they qualify and seek employment.”
